Professor Sanjay Roy, the Director of the Institute of Lifelong Learning at the University of Delhi, highlighted the significance of the program. He said that CES aligns with the objectives outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The scheme aims to provide individuals of all ages with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge by studying alongside regular students enrolled in existing courses offered by DU’s departments and colleges.

Prof. Roy stated that the expected outcomes of the scheme include fulfilling the educational aspirations of those who previously lacked the opportunity, enhancing academic and professional skills through the use of cutting-edge technology and knowledge, and fostering lifelong learning among both senior and non-senior citizens.
