CAT admit card 2023 released; check selection process, expected cut-off score here | Entrance Exams News

New Delhi: The organising institute of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023, IIM Lucknow, is all set to conduct the entrance exam on November 26. The MBA entrance exam will be held in three slots – 8:30 am to 10:30 am, 12:30 pm to 2:3o pm and 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The exam authority has released the CAT admit card 2023 three weeks before to avoid last-minute hiccups. With less than a week left for the CAT 2023 exam, explore CAT expected cut-off marks along with CAT selection process. The prestigious entrance exam is conducted for admission to various management programmes of IIMs and other non-IIM member institutes.

How to download CAT admit card 2023?

Aspirants who registered for CAT 2023 exam can access their call letter only on the official portal at iimcat.ac.in. One can access the CAT 2023 admit card through the user id and password. Candidates need to take a printout of CAT admit card and carry the same to the exam centre along with a valid photo identity card for verification purpose.

CAT selection process

The admission of candidates will be based on their performance in the exam. Candidates who qualify and obtain the minimum cut-off marks will be called for the next phase of the selection process. Each IIM will be releasing a separate list of candidates shortlisted for Group Discussion (GD) and/or Personal Interview (PI). A few institutes may also consider previous academic performance, relevant work experience and others for admission. The official information bulletin reads, “each IIM is independent to mandate their own eligibility criteria.”

CAT cut-off marks expected

Aspirants should note that the CAT cut-off marks including academic and relative weightage, will be prepared by each IIM based on its eligibility criteria. The CAT qualifying marks and sectional cut-off also vary for each IIM. The CAT cut-off marks for the general category is likely to be 98-100 percentile. Candidates belonging to OBC or SC/ST categories should obtain at least 95-98 percentile to secure admission. One should note that the discussed CAT expected cut-off marks are determined based on the previous year’s CAT sectional cut-off marks.
