NEW DELHI: Three people have been arrested for allegedly killing a 25-year-old man, Jouhar Abbas, in Delhi’s Shastri Park area on May 30. The police identified the accused as Akash alias Moossi, Yogesh alias Bunty, and Rohit. Abbas, a cab driver with no known rivalries, was attacked with a blade near Wahid Masjid in Shastri Park and later succumbed to his injuries at GTB Hospital.
On May 30, information was received at Shastri Park Police Station about an assault incident. The victim, Jouhar Abbas, was found with several incised wounds on his body. He was promptly taken to GTB Hospital, where he was declared dead.
“A case under Section 302 of the IPC was registered,” the police stated.
A dedicated team was formed to investigate the murder. On June 11, the police apprehended the three suspects, Akash, Yogesh, and Rohit, from H Block, Gokulpuri.
