NEW DELHI: The overall voter turnout for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, was 65.79%, ECI said in a press release on Thursday.
Male voters turnout was recorded at 65.80% as against female voter turnout of 65.78%. While, the third Gender turnout was 27.08%.
The ECI will make detailed statistical reports available on its website after finalizing the details received from States and Union Territories (UTs) in due course, as per standard practice.These reports will include the number of postal votes and the gross voter turnout.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has also announced that the voter turnout for the seventh phase of the General Elections 2024, which covered 57 Parliamentary Constituencies (PCs), stood at 63.88% at the polling stations. This figure was released in continuation of the ECI’s two press notes dated June 1.
Lakshadweep recorded the highest turnout of 84.16% followed by Assam with 81.56%. Tripura and Andhra Pradesh also recorded a significant turnout of 80.93% and 80.66% respectively.
Bihar recorded the lowest voter turnout of 56.19%. Mizoram and Uttar Pradesh also had low turnout of 56.87% and 56.92% respectively, according to ECI data.
