Hours after the Lok Sabha election results were declared, Priyanka Gandhi penned an emotional note for her brother Rahul Gandhi. In the tweet, Priyanka has praised her brother for his confidence and hardwork that led to the massive gain of the INDIA alliance in the election.
“You kept standing, no matter what they said and did to you…you never backed down whatever the odds, never stopped believing however much they doubted your conviction, you never stopped fighting for the truth despite the overwhelming propaganda of lies they spread, and you never allowed anger and hatred to overcome you, even when they gifted it to you every day.You fought with love, truth and kindness in your heart. Those who could not see you, see you now, but some of us have always seen and known you to be the bravest of all. Bhai Rahul Gandhi, I am proud to be your sister,” Priyanka wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Rahul Gandhi, a prominent leader of the Indian National Congress, played a significant role in the Lok Sabha election 2024. As a key figure in the opposition, he challenged the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Gandhi’s campaign focuses on addressing economic disparities, unemployment, and social justice. He also emphasized issues like farmers’ rights and national unity. His leadership will present a strong alternative to the BJP’s policies.
Rahul Gandhi won the Rae Bareli seat by over 3.9 lakh votes, which is said to be the highest margin in Uttar Pradesh. Gandhi defeated his rival Dinesh Pratap Singh from BJP. Gandhi surpassed his mother’s margin in 2019; Sonia Gandhi had won the seat in 2019 by over 1.6 lakh votes. Gandhi has also won the Wayanad seat in Kerala by over 3 lakh votes.
