Today marks the 5th anniversary of the hit Telugu film `Geetha Govindam`, starring Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda. Directed by Parasuram, the film became a massive commercial success, with the song ‘Inkem Inkem Kavale’ turning into a chartbuster.
Rashmika expressed her astonishment at how quickly five years have passed since the film`s release and shared her heartfelt appreciation for the fans across states for embracing the movie. She reminisced, “Even today, I am fondly addressed as ‘Geetha madam`. It feels surreal.” The actress went on to attribute the film`s success to her co-star, Vijay, and expressed deep gratitude to the director and the team at Geetha Arts for entrusting her with the role of `Geetha`.
The film not only cemented its place as one of the pivotal works in both the actors’ filmographies but also played a significant role in establishing Rashmika`s presence in the Telugu film industry.
Vijay Deverakonda also took to Instagram to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Geetha Govindam with fans. The post featured Deverakonda in a crisp white ensemble as well as Rashmika Mandanna and Parasuram. Rashmika wore a stunning blush pink salwar suit, and Parasuram wore a simple black shirt and grey pants. All of them looked elated to be spending the anniversary together and held up 5 fingers, marking the release day.

Vijay said that the anniversary is even more special considering it was an Independence Day release. He wished his followers and fellow Indians a happy Independence Day and also said he was super excited to attend the Kushi concert!
On the horizon, Rashmika meanwhile, has several exciting projects lined up. She`s set to share the screen with Ranbir Kapoor in `Animal` and will feature in `Pushpa 2`, `Rainbow`, and `D51` alongside Dhanush.
